I'm getting slower and slower with these journal entries...

In case you had not guessed, I'm back in college. Another busy, nerve-wracking Fall term at Bennington, though have to admit, it's not as bad as I make it sound. This term I'm taking only four classes: Style and Tone of Nonfiction Writing (learning to write essays), Japanese I, Readings in Melville, and Biology of the Sexes. I've learned that I apparently have a knack for Japanese and I've re-learned my love for science. I should consider taking more science classes in the future. So far, all is going all right as far as academics go.

Yesterday was my roommate's birthday. In the early morning, I sabotaged her side of the room with balloons and streamer while she was away. It turned out pretty great. After fighting our hardest for a ride, we got to go through with our trip to Mallbany. My roommate drove the car we had borrow from another friend, which stressed us all out a little. To be honest, it probably was not a good idea to let the only person in the car who had never driven in Albany drive. It was my stupid idea, but Liz and Andrea should've made up for my stupidity!

After lots of yelling at the bad Albany drivers, we got to the mall unscathed. Andrea thoroughly enjoyed her shopping and Liz and I managed to find the few things on our list to get. Also, I managed to find some really good pieces to my Alice costume for Halloween. Yay! When we finally got hungry, we ate at Johnny Rocket's in the mall. Come to find out, Andrea had never been sang to at a restaurant on her birthday. This was unacceptable so we got the waiters to sing and got her free ice cream.

So I enjoyed being part of a pretty good birthday and got to come home and crash. Now today is all homework, all day, or at least it should be. << >>
