So I've noticed my updates are progressively getting less frequent. I think, with as often as I complain of boredom, this needs to change immediately.

LIFE UPDATE:

As of January 2nd, this poor college student is living and working an internship in New York City with the Alliance for Young Artists and Writers. For those of you who haven't heard, Bennington College, my college, requires its students to do this once a year after New Years.

New York City is an amazing experience so far. Having so much at my fingertips, sucking at my wallet, is an experience I haven't had in some time. I've decided I will probably end up living in or outside a major city after college as a result of the two weeks I've been here so far. Five years in rural Tennessee cannot even compare with this happiness.

As far as school goes, I'm off of Academic Concern! Yaaaaay! I received two B+'s, an A-, and an A+ in my classes from last term and have never been so happy with my academic standing. After last spring's D in Shakespeare, my B+ in Herman Melville gives me the confidence to keep striving as a potential Literature major.

Now for the stuff that actually pertains to this website! Reading RJ's masterpiece, the Wheel of Time series, has been fueling inspiration to write since... well, a while ago. Since I have no assigned homework until the 21st of February, I've been starting to write my story again, from the beginning. This time, I think I will keep with it, as I'm tired of it collecting dust. As for art, I've been drawing every so often lately and I'm proud to say that I am finally settling into a technique and style that is working well for me. The new stuff won't be up until I return to school unfortunately, so those of you sitting on the edge of your seats in wait, get a life.

I'm getting slower and slower with these journal entries...

In case you had not guessed, I'm back in college. Another busy, nerve-wracking Fall term at Bennington, though have to admit, it's not as bad as I make it sound. This term I'm taking only four classes: Style and Tone of Nonfiction Writing (learning to write essays), Japanese I, Readings in Melville, and Biology of the Sexes. I've learned that I apparently have a knack for Japanese and I've re-learned my love for science. I should consider taking more science classes in the future. So far, all is going all right as far as academics go.

Yesterday was my roommate's birthday. In the early morning, I sabotaged her side of the room with balloons and streamer while she was away. It turned out pretty great. After fighting our hardest for a ride, we got to go through with our trip to Mallbany. My roommate drove the car we had borrow from another friend, which stressed us all out a little. To be honest, it probably was not a good idea to let the only person in the car who had never driven in Albany drive. It was my stupid idea, but Liz and Andrea should've made up for my stupidity!

After lots of yelling at the bad Albany drivers, we got to the mall unscathed. Andrea thoroughly enjoyed her shopping and Liz and I managed to find the few things on our list to get. Also, I managed to find some really good pieces to my Alice costume for Halloween. Yay! When we finally got hungry, we ate at Johnny Rocket's in the mall. Come to find out, Andrea had never been sang to at a restaurant on her birthday. This was unacceptable so we got the waiters to sing and got her free ice cream.

So I enjoyed being part of a pretty good birthday and got to come home and crash. Now today is all homework, all day, or at least it should be. <<  >>  

Ahaha.... wow. I need to actually write journals more often. I remember when I first joined, I used to update this thing all the time. Now it's been... *checks* since March. Eesh.

Anyways! I'm now on summer break again, same as everyone else, and have completed my first year of college. *gasp* I feel so ooooold. I'm a college sophomore now. It's a weird feeling. Grades are coming in the mail, so as of yet, I don't know how I did in all of my classes. I'm fairly sure I did just fine in five of them: Aural Skills, Piano Lab I, Statistics, and Astronomy. The only one I worry about is Shakespeare. That was my only real challenge last term, but boy was it a challenge.

As far as summer goes, I have no job and will not. Due to transportation problems, I have no means of getting to a job. Instead, my summer is being spent practicing the piano and studying for next term... oh and VACATIONING of course. I will at home until the end of June. After that, I head up to the northwest of the US to visit my dad and friends for three weeks, and then its back home for the final month before Bennington in the fall.

Now I have to be off to give my kitten a bath. Poor thing has fleas, lots and lots of fleas.

Well I got bored today, even though I shouldn't be bored with as much work as I have to do, and finally read 's journal in my box and decided to take up my journal thieving habit again... and steeeaaaal eet.

I think it's funny how some of the people I watch update their journals fairly frequently and mine is lucky to get updated once a month. I suppose it's because I believe you people don't care about my life. You just stalk my art because it's cute/pretty. *coughhack* <<  >>

Anyway... so I've been sitting at home for over a month now, since December 13th to be exact. I still don't go back to school until the 22nd of February or so. This is due to my Field Work Term being at home versus in New York, like EVERYONE ELSE. (Yes you Andrea.) But I'm still enjoying the occasional relaxation I get around my editing schedule. To some degree, I can't wait to go back to college. I miss my friends from there as much as I missed my friends from here when I was there. It almost makes me wish my college was a little closer to home. Oh well.

Now is making me angry with her dress making ideas. I can't sew anything more than like... a pillow, but I will learn I tell you!

I suppose there isn't much else to update on... yay?
